@JustinandJennifer: There isn't "one" pull-up bar, though beachbody does sell one for P90x. You can find various pull-up bars on the internet or make your own relatively easily with sturdy materials.

And I mean with no offense intended, if you are at 326 pounds and it isn't mostly muscle, you don't have to worry about putting all your weight on the pull-up bar, as you'd most likely be using a chair to assist you. It's actually recommended in P90x to use a chair at various angles until you're fit enough to do it without it -- and there's no shame in it. Obviously, when you are using a chair at various angles, not all of your weight is on the bar.

I am wondering how you have to use p90x to get the results you see on tv. How many times do you have to go through p90x to get there results.also Do you have to follow the diet to see results.

I am 69 and I go to the gym every day. I alternate between cardio on a stairmaster or an eliptical trainer and machine weights. Regardless I do several sets of crunches either on an ab machine or a resistor ball. I also daily do two sets of 50-60 push-ups off a resistor ball. So, I am very skeptical when I see the 90X adds on tv -- certainly are body builders and I sure don't look like them, although I am considered to be in decent shape. Also, I prefer going to a gym than working out in front of a video. As a retired military officer I use the base gym which is a great reconnection with my service of over 28 years.

I just purchased the P90X system yesterday and am anxiously awaiting the shipment. Does anyone have any suggestions for calorie intake to prepare for the system?

It may not be exactly one hour every day, but some rough math leads me to believe that it is about one hour a day. The average workout is an hour. All but Yoga X which adds an extra 30 minutes a week. So we are 30 minutes over. Add three Ab Ripper Xs and we have an hour and 15 minutes a week over 1 hour a day.

But remember that on Day 7 you dont have to do anything. So that gets you down to an hour a day with a remainder of 15 minutes. FIgure that the various exercise routines are mostly one to three minutes UNDER an hour and scatter it out over the week and it is only a few minutes over an average of an hour a day.

Only in week two but loving it (and hurting).
